நினைவஞ்சலி செய்தி - பாக்யலக்ஷ்மி மாணிக்கம்

1. எங்கள் தாயாரின் நினைவு நாளில் எம் சகோதரர்கள் தாமோதரன் மாணிக்கம், ரகுராம் அவர்கள்  இருவரும் தாயைக்  குறித்தும் எமது மூத்த மகள் நிரஞ்ஜனா ஆனந்த் அவர்கள் தனது பாட்டியைக்  குறித்து வெளியிட்ட அஞ்சலி செய்திகள்:

Dear Mom. I am so fortunate to have been born as your son. Remembering you on this day June 30th. 11 years ago you left this earth to blend with nature. Your sacrifices were countless, you had been a skilled diplomat, had elephantine memory, inspired the youth to get educated and stay creative despite the fact you yourself had not been to college. You knew way more things than many of us -- the so called graduates. You nurtured a huge joint family, some might even call it a small village. Every child that came your way wanted to emulate you -- so impactful. Your generosity is boundless -- who would have thought that you had committed decades ago to donate the eyes after death for the eye donation is still not so prevalent among the masses! May you soul RIP. Bless us all from there.

Dhamo Anna: You wonderfully laid out the great qualities of mom. I have read it a few times and every word & sentence in that is so true and brings out fond memories/ heavy emotions. The list of her great skills can go on and on. To your list I can add that she is a great administrator, wise counsel, respected leader, wonderful guide, successful motivator, amazing communicator, witty person, "paddikatha medhai" and a loving soul who knows how and where to say 'no'. I am sure we all can keep talking about her greatness for long. She is a towering personality. Mom - after  a great innings and tireless service to the family you have taken the rest. May your soul be always be in peace. As Dhamoo  Anna said we are lucky to be born as your kids and we will always love you mom.

Amma's thithi this time fell on June 29th. We had the shrartham for mom at temple on Monday.

As I read both Appiya's and naina's homages to Ammiya I remember lot of events and small communications with Ammiya which has shaped me into what I am.. Really grateful to have been able to be with her for whatever time God gave me.. I too wish someday I could be at least 1% of what she was to others.. Love you Ammiya .. I know your blessings are with us always
