நினைவஞ்சலி - பாக்யலக்ஷ்மி மாணிக்கம்

எமது தாயார் அமரத்துவம் அடைந்த பாக்யலக்ஷ்மி மாணிக்கம் அவர்களின் நினைவு நாள் அஞ்சலி

பட்டங்கள் இன்றியே

பட்டதாரியாய் - அனுபவத்தை 

அனுபவித்தே ஊட்டினீர்

உணவைப் போல.

இன்று துருவ நட்சத்திரமாய்

நீர் மாறி போக,

பார்வையாளன் ஆனேன் 

தூரத்தில் நின்று.

நிசம் என்பதை

மனம் மட்டும் உணர,

நிழலாகி போனீர்

சுவடுகள் தங்க.

நானும் மரிப்பேன்

ஒரு நாள் இங்கு - மீண்டும் 

சந்திப்போமா, என்றேனும்

ஒரு நாள் அங்கு.

அவர்கள் குடும்பமும் எல்லா நலன்களுடன் வாழ, தங்கள் ஆசிகளை வேண்டி...

Dear Mom. I am so fortunate to have been born as your son. Remembering you on this day June 30th. 11 years ago you left this earth to blend with nature. Your sacrifices were countless, you had been a skilled diplomat, had elephantine memory, inspired the youth to get educated and stay creative despite the fact you yourself had not been to college. You knew way more things than many of us -- the so called graduates. You nurtured a huge joint family, some might even call it a small village. Every child that came your way wanted to emulate you -- so impactful. Your generosity is boundless -- who would have thought that you had committed decades ago to donate the eyes after death for the eye donation is still not so prevalent among the masses! May you soul RIP. Bless us all from there.
